Eurest, the chief commander in the kitchen of the air-traffic controllers of Eurocontrol

Eurocontrol, the controlling centre for the European airspace, goes for excellence out of the nature of its activities.  Air-traffic safety cannot tolerate any indulgence - Eurocontrol shuns mediocrity with its suppliers.

So, the choice of Eurest as new food service supplier was not a total surprise.  A coincidence?  Neither, since quality and excellence are not obtained overnight. They are the result of continuous efforts, study of techniques and working models, applying and correcting them throughout the complete organisation, every day again.

Eurocontrol was searching a partner combining communication, innovation and constancy.

Quality: both the service as the products must present a constant quality.

Communication: between caterer and client, but also between caterer and consumer. The consumer visiting regularly the same restaurant (an evidence for a staff restaurant) expects to be informed and surprised. The challenge of Eurest consists in providing adequate information about dishes and products as well as proposing themes and novelties to animate the restaurant. Healthy food and an ecological and responsible management of food are of course also points of interest in a modern catering organisation.

The Eurest team, counting 23 persons, takes care of all food service questions. There is the free flow restaurant offering a wide variety of hot and cold preparations at lunch time. The sandwich bar opens up in the morning and assures seven days a week breakfast as well as lunch and evening dishes. The coffee bar offers delicious hot drinks for breaks. Eurest also provides for all catering services in meeting rooms. Special arrangements are worked out for cocktails and receptions or international encounters.

The challenge Eurest stands for is assuring a maximum of quality and service within the stipulated budget. Gaining the fidelity of the consumer by offering a constant quality and impeccable service is a priority objective. The 500 guests dining daily in the restaurant and the 250 visitors of the sandwich bar are the best reference to convince the other staff of the 1300 employed by Eurocontrol, to come and taste the Eurest quality!
