Scolarest becomes the first caterer to enter into a long-term partnership with the school communities at KSO Tielt-Ruiselede and KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi.

As the leading caterer on the Belgian market, Scolarest has embarked on a long-term partnership with a community of open education schools, becoming the catering partner for the KSO Tielt-Ruiselede Schools Community since 1st September 2011. As the result of this framework agreement, KSO Tielt-Ruiselede has become the first community of schools to make strategic use of outsourcing its school canteens on a large-scale basis.

In practical terms, the partnership means that Scolarest will organise and manage the school restaurants at the Vrij Technisch Instituut, Sint-Jozefsinstituut, Handelsinstituut Regina Pacis, Buso De Ster, Instituut Sancta Maria in Ruiselede and De Bron in Tielt.

Scolarest will also apply the Eat.Learn.Live philosophy at the various canteens. This ongoing commitment and enriching food and educational concept is focused on presenting a healthy and varied lifestyle to the pupils during their studies. At KSO Tielt-Ruiselede, Eat.Learn.Live will result in a broad and balanced range of food. The unique 'healthy rolls' eating concept is one of the first examples of this approach.

KSO Tielt-Ruiselede has also entrusted the payment system used to Scolarest in the form of the Moneysafe cashless registration and payment system. Moneysafe means that the more than 3500 students and staff no longer need to use cash to pay for their meals.

And now for real at KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi

Scolarest has been managing the catering services for the boarders at KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi (Harlindis & Relindis Catholic Community of Schools) since the beginning of 2011. KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi provides an excellent infrastructure that meets all requirements and provides the boarders with maximum comfort and convenience.

But KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi also has a major challenge ahead of it: the college is moving to a new campus in 2012. So there is plenty of work to be done. Hence the motto of 'And now it's for real'. So, what is Eat.Learn.Live and where does it fit in? KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi has adopted with innovative food and education concept since 1st September 2011. Scolarest is responsible for organising and managing the catering services for the entire campus, which are used by more than 2500 students and staff.

The Moneysafe cashless payment system used at KASO Maaseik-Kinrooi is supplemented by Ping Ping, the platform for mobile small payments.
