Our event and hospitality caterer Gourmet Invent is starting a close partnership with Xavier Fruy, owner of industry peer Fruy Catering.

From 1 March next, Xavier Fruy will join Gourmet Invent in a key position. He will further draw on his extensive experience in bringing a local, creative haute cuisine that is firmly backed by sound processes and with an absolute focus on sustainability and avoiding food waste.

Bart Vandendooren, Managing Director of Gourmet Invent: "Xavier is not only a top chef and a very experienced caterer, but is also a forerunner in our sector in terms of processes, automation and digitalisation. He will ensure that the steep growth that Gourmet Invent is experiencing takes place in a controlled manner and that we have the processes and tools that allow us to focus on what really matters: delicious culinary cooking for our customers. And of course, as a professional, Xavier shares our love of hospitality and great food."

Xavier Fruy: "Our choice of Gourmet Invent was obvious. We have known each other for a long time and we know that there is an awful lot of common ground between our companies. Our culinary drive and the enormous passion for top hospitality, together with a thorough focus on sustainability and the fight against pointless food waste will be the absolute spearheads of our collaboration. Add to this Gourmet Invent's strong logistics and HR apparatus, and it is immediately clear that our collaboration offers strong added value to all our clients and stakeholders."

For Gourmet Invent, the collaboration also means that the caterer will have a stronger foothold in South-West Flanders. In turn, clients of Fruy Catering will benefit from Gourmet Invent's broad offering (corporate and event catering) and its sister brands Fair Catering, Amalthea, Silverspoon and J&M Catering.
